AP English Language Arts Essay Question 2In the AP English Language Arts Essay Question 2, students will study the following paragraph, 'After a disagreement between two relatives over the care of their grandson, they agree to bury the body in the backyard. A week later, the body begins to decompose and the family suspects foul play.' As the child begins to decompose, the students see that the passage could use some additional detail to help explain what happens.It is not necessary for AP Lang essay questions to include the full explanation of events that the students want to see included in the essay. The choice of an extra paragraph may seem like an unnecessary complication, but it is actually very helpful to the students as they begin to think about how they are going to write an AP essay. Here are several AP English Language Arts Essay Question 2 examples that include this small detail. The result is more easily understood, and it can help make the essay more readable.The first e xample begins with a long paragraph with an introduction to the students' work. As the paragraph continues, the student reading the paragraph sees the passage and understands that the discussion about decomposing occurs. In addition, the student is able to see the date on the beginning of the paragraph and can read the details of the passage without making assumptions about the content of the paragraph.In the second AP English Language Arts Essay Question 2 examples, the student is also able to read a passage and see that the quote is spoken by the character. The student does not need to understand what happens in the passage; he or she understands that the character says something important and then explains the importance of the idea. Students gain insight into both the important facts and the relevant facts, which allow them to better understand the passage and the entire essay.The fourth example is the same as the second, but in the third paragraph of the second AP Lang essay question. In the first paragraph, the paragraph includes the facts about the man's illness and his family's reaction to it. In the second paragraph, the paragraph provides context for the man's illness and the family's reaction.Students who use the extra paragraph to help the essay by highlighting the grammatical issues and focusing on the important facts about the passage. This helps students understand the content more clearly and provide better understanding of the essay. Furthermore, this section can be discussed during the tutorial after students have taken and pa ssed the AP English Language Arts Essay.Students who have not read the question or are learning English will find this additional information useful in making sure they understand the entire passage and avoid having problems when they attempt to answer the essay question.
